Becoming a mammy is beautiful but it’s also messy, exhausting, and let’s be real… sometimes you don’t even feel like yourself anymore. I remember those early days of being a new mam, when just brushing my hair felt like a luxury.

Over time, I found a few little non-negotiable that helped me feel human again and I want to share them with you 💛

🌸 1. A Simple Self-Care Ritual

It doesn’t need to be a spa day , even just 5 minutes to yourself can make a difference.

  • A hot shower without interruptions (the stress just leaves you as soon as that hot water hits you)
  • Putting on skincare that feels good, even just my 3 Step Skincare is magic.
  • A walk in nature, even just 10min but when their is chaos you’ll be surprised what a change of scenery will do. Even if it’s raining, put on the rain gear and wellies and let the todler jump in puddles , heck if you wanna too, go for it 😆
  • Sitting with a HOT coffee/tea before anyone else wakes is for sure a comforting ritual, or even at nap times to sit and ignore the dishes for 10min.

Tiny rituals remind you that you matter too.

🥗 2. Nourishing Snacks at Arm’s Reach

When you’re sleep deprived and juggling a newborn or toddler, meals are chaotic. Having quick, healthy snacks (like fruit, protein bars, or prepped overnight oats) nearby kept me sane and stopped me from living on tea and biscuits alone 🙈

💕 3. Connection with Other Moms

Isolation is real. Just knowing someone else is in the same boat changes everything. Whether it’s a WhatsApp group, a walk with another mam, or being part of a supportive online community , you don’t have to do motherhood alone.

💡 My Little Extra

For me, adding in gentle wellness support (like aloe, collagen and my 9-day reset when I was ready) gave me energy and confidence back. Sometimes it’s those small changes that make the biggest difference to feel like me.

If you’re reading this and nodding along — you’re not alone. You are doing an incredible job. And with a few small steps, you can feel a little more “you” again.

Love,
Amie x
